Weather Situation: A strong high pressure system over the Great Australian Bight will move slowly eastwards over southern Australia through the week, extending a firm ridge and a cool, dry air mass into much of Queensland. An upper trough will extend a band of high-level cloud across northern and central parts of the state during today and Tuesday but no rainfall is expected with this cloud band due to dry air near the surface.

Forecast for Tuesday 30 May Partly cloudy. The chance of fog in the early morning. Light winds becoming east to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the morning then becoming light in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 12 and 17 with daytime temperatures reaching the mid to high 20s.
